I suppose I wrote this for myself with the thought I would share it with friends who would enjoy it.
It has been time-consuming, long hours, but fun, sometimes moving, and a lot of frustration, but
I kept punching ahead knowing eureka moments were
just around the corner.
AND they were.
You'll find errors and mistakes that I have ignored
just to let you know that I did in fact do it myself.
If you have some thoughts you'd like to share with me I'd appreciate hearing them.
Best Big Rog
I'd like to thank some special people who were
so helpful in doing this story.
My wife Rho who supported all my efforts in so many ways, like never seeing me.
Master artist David Mueller who shared his insights
into JHT's artwork with me.
Who also did the heavy end of technical work to
pull this website together and publish it.
It wasn't easy my friends. Hat off to him.
Karin Crooks a Twachtman historian of the
highest rank who shared her huge knowledge
of JHT with me, and just plain supported my efforts.
Mary Basket for all her knowledge shared with me thru her book, we call it the "bible".
John Henry Twachtman
American Impressionist Painter
As Printmaker
To all those who went before me and
chronicled JHT's life and achievements
and sharing them thru Wikipedia
and Wikiart, and many other friendly
sources.
